Meet Shelby.
Coastal Gems Co. is a one-woman show! From product creation to marketing, Shelby is doing it all.
From early childhood, Shelby’s connection to the ocean manifested through collecting, tidepooling, and beachcombing. Moving to Santa Cruz, CA in 2020 further intensified this connection, allowing every spare moment to be spent on the coast.
Starting Out
Shelby began Coastal Gems Co. in 2025, mainly as a way to share oceanic jewelry with friends and family. After her designs caught more interest, Shelby expanded to in-person markets and online selling.
Expanding from social media, to markets, to a website could not have been achieved without the amazing support of Shelby’s friends and family!!

All products are created by human hands only. Products are either made in small-batches or are one-of-a-kind pieces.
Natural Materials
All oceanic materials are sourced by-hand from California’s coastline. Materials are rarely adjusted from their original form to protect their natural beauty.

Coastal Gems Co. prioritizes sustainability and environmental conservation. All material sourcing follows strict guidelines to ensure protected habitats remain untouched.
